I know many dogs who love to eat scrambled eggs. As told by pet parents coming to my clinic. Hence the question " Can we safely give scrambled eggs to dogs?"

Yes, we can, but occasionally. Scrambled eggs don’t cause any serious harm to the dog but scrambled eggs require milk and butter.  These unnecessary fats can cause health problems in dogs.

There are other good ways to serve eggs to the dog. You can serve cooked and boiled eggs.

Eggs are the great source of protein.

Eggs contain essential amino and fatty acids and are easily digestible. Eggs include vitamins A and B12, riboflavin, folate, iron, and selenium.

Eggs seem like decent food for dogs, as they are high in protein and fat, and not too high in sugars.

Wild canids often eat eggs that they find, and so it seems to be part of the natural diet.

Many dog foods have powdered eggs in them. Eggs are known to fix a dog's upset stomach.

I would not feed exclusively eggs or anything like that. Only 5 percent of the total diet should be the egg. Moderation and balance are important considerations for dogs.

Therefore, if you have a "treat" portion of your dog's daily ration, using an egg for that treat is probably not a bad idea.
